2008 Meeting Programs

Featured Speaker: Mr. Bennett H. Perry
Program Title: “Indians of Vance and surrounding Counties”

The Granville County Genealogical Society 1746, Inc. will hold it’s June meeting at the Richard H. Thornton Library at 6:30 PM on June 5, 2008. The featured speaker for the evening will Bennett H. Perry.

Mr. Perry was born and raised in Henderson. He earned an undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of NC at Chapel Hill. After he finished his formal education, he returned to Henderson where he has had a distinguished career in the practice of law.

One of his many interests has been the study of Indians of this area. He has graciously agreed to speak to our group on this subject and possibly show us some of the relics he has collected over the years.

Members and their guests are cordially invited to attend this program, which promises to be both interesting and educational. The 6:30 PM meeting will be in the Conference Room at the Richard H. Thornton Library on Main Street in Oxford, NC. The meeting is open to the public.
